     Asistent Instructor-ul reprezinta un nivel certificare NAUI - Leadership si este calificat pentru a asista un Instructor N.A.U.I. - activ, in cadrul cursurilor de scufundare - scuba diving pe care acesta le conduce. Pentru a participa la acest curs, candidatul trebuie sa posede brevet NAUI Master Scuba Diver si NAUI Scuba Rescue Diver CPR & First Aid sau echivalent. Varsta minima 18 ani inainte de inceperea cursului.

    Cursul de NAUI Asistent Instructor iti ofera multe informatii si noi cunostinte despre organizarea si conducerea scufundarilor, verificarea echipamentului si a flotabilitatii, tehnicile de insotire ale cursantului si metode de predare si prezentare. NAUI - Asistent Instructor este recomandat celor ce doresc sa urmeze cariera de instructor de scufundari - scuba diving.

    Manualul de curs este inclus in pret.

  • Certification/Experience/Knowledge.

- Current registration as a NAUI FIT Program graduate.
- Current certification in NAUI First Aid for the Diving Professional or equivalent.
- Current certification in NAUI Oxygen Provider or equivalent.
- A minimum of 50 logged open water scuba dives with a minimum of 25 hours bottom time. Dives
shall be varied in environment, depth, and activities.
- The instructor is to ensure adequate student knowledge and capability before any open water
training and shall use skill or other evaluations to do so. One open water dive (which does not
count toward the minimum number of dives required for the course) may be used as a screening
and evaluation dive. This is not required when the student’s diving proficiencies are well known to
the instructor.

  • Equipment.

- Candidates shall furnish and be responsible for the care and maintenance of their own
diving equipment. The instructor shall initially assist candidates in checking all their gear to ensure it
is adequate and in proper working order.

  • Medical Approval.

- Verification of good physical condition as documented by a medical examination
and unconditional approval for diving by a licensed physician within the preceding 12 months. In no
event will medical approval be accepted wherein the physician signing the certificate is the student.

  • Academics (estimated hours). 13 hours.
  • Practical Application:

- MINIMUM REQUIRED HOURS: Seven hours.

- MINIMUM REQUIRED DIVES: The minimum number of open water dives is two.

- DEPTH:  The maximum depth for any open water dive during this course is 130 feet (40 m). No dives
are to require actual staged decompression. However, simulated staged decompression may
be added to the ascent of a no required- stop dive. Any simulated decompression time spent
deeper than 25 feet (7.6 m) must be included in the actual dive time.

  • REQUIREMENTS – ACADEMIC
  • Diving Knowledge.

o Review and Assess Core Theory and Applied Topics:

– Equipment
– Physics
– Physiology
– Decompression Theory (to include RGBM)
– Decompression tables principles and use
– Environment
– First Aid / CPR / O2 Provider
– Rescue
– Nitrox
– Dive Skills & Practices

  • Diving Safety

o Review of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
o Diving rescue.
o Emergency procedures and systems access
o Common student danger signals and early problem recognition; the significance of such warning
signs as rapid breathing, jerky movements, wide-open eyes, etc.
o Open water skills application for the assistant instructor detailing:

– Pre-dive equipment checks.
– Buoyancy checks, recognizing over-weighting.
– Instructor/assistant coordination.
– In-water student control, escorting and assistance.

  • REQUIREMENTS – SKILLS

- Assisting (confined and open water). Wearing full scuba equipment appropriate for the area.
o Pre-dive equipment checks for diver(s) simulating basic students.
o Place and recover a flag, float and ascent line in the dive area for use in a qualification dive.
o Escort of a diver simulating a basic student from the beach or boat to the dive area, performing a
buoyancy check enroute.
o Escort of a diver simulating a basic student with difficulties from the dive area to the beach or
boat and exiting with proper standard of care.
o Escort of two divers simulating basic students on an underwater tour while demonstrating proper
positioning, control and management.
o Assists for a diver in open water simulating each: panic, cramps, and breathing difficulties.
